⛵️ Setting sail for November 1, 2026!
The wait is almost over: it’s now confirmed. On Sunday, November 1st at 1:02 PM, no fewer than 117 solo sailors, perhaps joined by a few last-minute guests, will set sail for a new edition of the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe.
Ultim trimarans, IMOCAs, Ocean Fifties, Class40s, as well as Vintage Multi and Mono trimarans, will set off together from Saint-Malo towards Pointe-à-Pitre, on the same legendary starting line. From Brittany to the Caribbean, they will experience an ocean sprint as demanding as it is legendary. For nearly half a century, this iconic race has brought together the best of offshore sailing, a blend of daring, pushing boundaries, and human adventure. Once again, these sailors will write a new chapter in the legend of the Route du Rhum.
⛵️ The race village opens its doors on October 20, 2026!
Before the thrill of the start, let’s celebrate and share! On Tuesday, October 20, the race village will open its doors, kicking off thirteen days of activities and gatherings.
To mark the event, a maritime parade will bring part of the fleet to Saint-Malo, a symbol of the diversity of this edition. From Ultims to Class40s, including IMOCA, Ocean Fifty, and Vintage boats, the quays of the corsair city will throb with the rhythm of arrivals and preparations.
For two weeks, Saint-Malo will live to the rhythm of the Route du Rhum, a blend of Breton and Creole atmosphere, tradition and modernity. Thanks to the joint involvement of the organizers, the City of Saint-Malo, the Brittany Region, and the Guadeloupe Region, the connection between the two shores of the Atlantic will be stronger than ever.
A unique atmosphere of celebration, emotion, and discovery will accompany visitors until the grand departure!
